Ministry of Trade issues warning to Novy Chas newspaper
The Belarusian Ministry of Trade issued an official warning to the Novy Chas independent newspaper after the paper advertised the programs of the BelSat independent satellite TV channel, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
According to the newspaper’s editor-in-chief Aliaksei Karol, the channel’s schedule was not an advertisement since the service was provided free of charge.
The newspaper may face a fine of up to BYR 1,750,000.
