Eduard Brokarau and Halina Budnaya, activists of the Speak Truth campaign, were detained on 1 June in the town of Horki, while holding air balloons at the event dedicated to the International Children's Day.

Four activists of the campaign were handing out green air balloons at the feast on the occasion of the International Children's Day when they were approached by a paddy wagon. Five policemen, headed by the Deputy Chairperson of the Horki District Police Department, went out of the car and told the activists to get in. As a result, two of them were guarded to the Horki DPD, where they continued handing out the green balloons.

'The police seem to be unaware about the reasons why they had to detain us', said Eduard Brokarau. 'As they took us here, and we continue handing out the air balloons. We also have two copies of a book by Uladzimir Niakliayeu, which we intend to pass to the district library on our release, provided the police don't confiscate them from us.'
