According to official information released by Babruisk town election commission, 10 pro-democratic candidates will run in the election, including a BSDP ‘Hramada’ member Andrei Staselovich, an Independent Trade Union activist Mikhail Kavalkou and an independent journalist Mikhail Larchanka.
The previously published information provided by the leader of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Babruisk office Taisia Kabanchuk, who claimed that none of the local BCD activists was registered by the election commission, proved to be incorrect – 4 BCD candidates will run for the Babruisk Town Council and 2 activists were registered as candidates for the District Council.
