BCD coordinator faces criminal charges
Yauhen Yakavenka, coordinator of the formation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, is charged with conscription dodging, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
The activist says he was summoned to Homel Tsentralny police department and officially accused of evading military service. He was previously convicted under civil proceedings of failure to appear in the military enlistment office, the verdict being reversed by Homel Regional Court on 13 March 2010.
