Barysau: no time for appeals
None of the 25 representatives of the United Civic Party was elected member of the district’s divisional election commissions, the local pro-government ‘Adzinstava’ newspaper reports.
The information on the formation of the election commissions was published 6 days after the respective decision had been taken by Barysau district executive committee on 10 March 2010, thus depriving the pro-democratic candidates of any opportunity to appeal it, since the Electoral Code provides for three days for submitting appeals.
