Homel oblast court cancelled trial of another conscientious objector to military service
The trial of Yauhen Yakavenka was cancelled by the Homel oblast court. At first Yauhen was punished with arrest for ostensibly ignoring an order of the military enlistment office.
It is already the fourth case on evasion from military service that is dropped by the Belarusian courts. The leaders of the campaign \For Alternative Civilian Service think that it is not a mere coincidence, but an order of the high-rank authorities connected to the preparation of a law on alternative service.
