On 30 January, a Young Front member Ivan Stasiuk was detained while interrogated as a witness in a criminal case, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports, quoting the Young Front press-secretary Tatsiana Shaputska. According to the activist’s mother, Ivan Stasiuk is charged with beating a man at a concert on 26 January. However, the activist’s friends say the arrest may be caused by his intent to run in the forthcoming local elections.
