Babruisk: in search for apolitical members of election commissions
The Babruisk officials engaged with staffing for members of precinct election commissions. Administration of enterprises and state institutions already tells the workers they must become members of these commissions.
Babruisk human rights defenders also learned about a case, when the ‘recruiters’ looked for future members of election commissions among workers of a private firm. A representative of the communal utilities came to the firm several days ago and proposed one of the workers to ‘earn some money’.
’You wouldn’t even need to go anywhere. You will only have to come once, when the ballot boxes will be opened for calculation of votes,’ he said. After receiving the agreement he asked whether the girl didn’t deal with politics and didn’t belong to the opposition, as they didn’t needed such people in the commission.
