Mikalai Autukhovich is returned to prison ward
The political prisoner was transferred from the medical unit of the detention facility to a common cell. Lawyer Pavel Sapelka visited Mikalai Autukhovich on 8 September.
‘He was transferred on Monday, 7 September. There are 20 people in the cell, though it designed for fewer people. I think the imprisonment of Autukhovich, who needs medical care, can be called torturing,’ the lawyer of the political prisoner said to RFE/RL.
According to the lawyer, Mikalai Autukhovich looks thin. ‘He eats only fruit and vegetables, he doesn’t accept prison food,’ the lawyer added.
Pavel Sapelka refused to comment on the process of investigation of the criminal case against Vaukavysk entrepreneurs.
