After participation in a rally dedicated to memory of abducted cameraman Zmitser Zavadski the activist of the Young Democrats Raman Bahdanovich encountered problems at the Belarusian border. He was detained by Belarusian border guards.

In Vilnius the young activist was taking part in picketing the Embassy of Belarus on the occasion of the date of Zmitser Zavadski’s death, the website ucpb.org informs.

Young people were handing out leaflets in Lithuanian about the situation in Belarus and missing politicians to dwellers of the Lithuanian capital.

Raman Bahdanovich was transporting books on human rights defense issues from Vilnius. ‘Almost everyone was studying these books’, Bahdanovich said. ‘First soldiers, border guards, then officers, and then they took the books upstairs, to senior officers…’

Finally, the books were returned. However, the bus in which Bahdanovich was travelling, had left and the activist had to hitchhike to Minsk.
