65 people who tried to get to Minsk for Dziady rally, were detained in Mahiliou by the police.
Head of the initiative Young Belarus Artur Finkevich said to RFE/RL that 65 associates of Mahiliou hired a bus to Minsk.
As they got in, the police made them get out and drove the bus to parking zone. Two people who were going to Minsk by a shared taxi were forced out of the car. Two more persons were put down from a shared taxi in Bialynichy, and are kept at a police station, there’s no connection with them. Artur Finkevich thinks that policemen did it on the purpose of quelling participating of Mahiliou dwellers in the rally.
All possible participants of the rally gave their passport data and were set free. The activists said there were many policemen in uniform and in civvies at the bus station.
