Oppositionists detained in Pinsk for action of solidarity with political prisoner

Four activists of democratic movement were detained in Pinsk for a picket of solidarity with political prisoner Alyaksandr Barazenka.

The activists carried a banner “Freedom for Political Prisoner Alyaksandr Barazenka!” at central Kirov Square, RFE/RL reports.

After three minutes the participants of the action were detained by militia. Coordinator of Pinsk office of the Youth Front Ales Lyubyanchuk, activist of the “For Freedom” movement Ihar Salavei, activist of the democratic movement Kanstantin Chuvak and independent journalist Viktar Yarashuk are in a militia department now.

Ales Lyubyanchuk told RFE/RL that militiamen were asking their commanders if they should draw up records against the detained participants of the unauthorised street action.
