On August 6th the Adzinstva newspaper founded by Barysau rayon executive committee, published an article by retired colonel Uladzimir Zhukouski. The article, titled “Touched with Attention” urged the residents to “give their votes for respectable and tireless worker, attentive and careful person”, who, in the author’s opinion, is incumbent MP Viktar Huminski.

Huminski’s potential opponent, member of the United Civil Party, and head of the "For Freedom of Entrepreneurship" organization, registered in Ukraine, Viktar Harbachou had submitted a complaint to the Central Election Commission. Recenly he has received the answer signed by CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna.

The letter says, Harbachou’s complaint was considered on August 14th at the session of the Observatory Council for Control over Election Agitation in Mass Media. The Observatory Council decided that the “article by U. Zhukouski contained the assessment of activity of MP Huminski and did not contradict the election law”.

Viktar Harbachou believes, Yarmoshyna’s reply proves the absence of equal possibilities for candidates. “The authorities are using the administrative resource in the interests of incumbent MPs and officials”., -- the potential candidate, who collected over 4.5 thousand signatures of Barysau residents in his support.
