More than 1 100 polling stations have been established in Homel oblast. Thus, if all their representatives are included in the local electoral commissions, the united democratic forces can cover 20% of the polling stations.

‘In general our nominees are professional and respected people. More than 70% of them have the experience of work in the electoral commissions of different levels. The rest have actively participated in electoral campaigns,’ said Uladzimir Siakerka, a member of Homel oblast headquarters of the united democratic forces.

All in all, 88 persons were nominated by the Party of Communists Belarusian, 62 – by the United Civil Party, 12 – by the Belarusian Popular Front Party and 52 – by collection of signatures.

Bear in mind that in Homel oblast the united democratic forces decided not to take part in the election unless all their candidates are registered and all their representatives were included in the electoral commissions.
