Aliaksandr Kazulin had a short meeting with his daughters in the colony Vitsba-3.

The meeting of Aliaksandr Kazulin with his daughters Volha and Yuliya lasted for 2 hours. ‘The law allows 4-hour meetings, but the administration of the colony permitted only a reduced one. It reflects the current attitude of the colony administration to my father,’ Volha Kazulina said after the meeting.

The daughter of the politician told her first impressions to human rights activist Raisa Mikhailouskaya. According to her, ‘Kazulin faces the pressure he didn’t meet before. He is searched all the time, they are looking for a telephone, SIM cards, etc. They took away an electric hot plate, and a juicer. They explain he is not on a hunger strike any more and can eat in canteen, like other prisoners. He keeps well and brave. But at the same time he supposes he has no chances for early release. He thinks his arrest is a personal revenge of Lukashenka, and he will never let him free. The attitude of the prison administration lets him understand he won’t be released,’ the human rights activist emphasized.

According to Kazulin’s daughters, the colony continues artificial isolation of Kazulin from other prisoners. People trying to come in contact with Aliaksandr Kazulin are threatened or pressed.

Former candidate for presidency Aliaksandr Kazulin will have spent 2 years in prison by 25 March. The politician was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison for organization of protest actions against rigging the results of the presidential election. Kazulin does not take the blame and explains his persecution with political reasons.
