Regions: Persecution of Entrepreneurs Continues

On 12 February Mikhail Charnavus, the chairman of the free trade union of entrepreneurs in Baranavichy, was summonsed to the city police department. A report for violation of the law On mass actions in the Republic of Belarus was drawn on him. The same day the police paid a visit to the apartment of Siarhei Andrushchanka (entrepreneur, former investigator of prosecutor’s office), but he was absent. Now the policemen are waiting for him near his working place at the market.
On 13 February in Babruisk many of the entrepreneurs who have taken part in the action of protest on 21 January, received summons to an administrative commission. They are accused of having violated article 23.34 of the Administrative Code (participation in unauthorized action).
