At about 10 a.m. on 10 December the access to the web-sites of the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty and Charter’97 were blocked and the Belarusian Partisan web-site worked with problems.

Radio Racyja managed to find that the blockade of these internet resources was performed on the level of the state monopolist on the internet communications in Belarus, Beltelekam. The inquiries which are sent by Belarusian users simply don’t reach the servers of the web-sites. Bear in mind that in most cases such servers are situated abroad, because it is quite problematic to maintain such internet resources in the Belarusian (.by) web space.

The workers of the internet editions think that such situation is connected to the meeting of entrepreneurs.

‘The site stopped working at about 9.40 a.m. It is evidently blocked on purpose, because we cannot do anything to access it. I have no doubts that this is connected to today’s action of individual entrepreneurs, because the attack on our site started right after the publication of information about the action,’ commented to Racyja the editor of Charter’97 Natallia Radzina.
