Supreme Court Upholds Non-registration of ?Young Social Democrats – Young Hramada’
In its verdict the court stated that the Ministry of Justice lawfully refused to register the youth organization because of defects in its charter. In particular, the court upheld the ministry’s opinion that fostering of nomination of the organization’s representatives to the municipal organs contradicted to the legislation.
It was not the first attempt of the youth social democratic association to acquire a legal status. The Ministry of Justice already refused to register it in 2002 and 2003. Thus, since the liquidation of the youth public association Young Hramada by the Supreme Court in 2004, youth adherents of social democracy have no legal organizations.
