Police Detains Leader of Salihorsk Entrepreneurs

In Salihorsk police detained Alexander Tsatsura, the leader of local entrepreneurs, member of an unregistered organization “For Free Development of Entrepreneurship”.

RFE/RL reporter found out, Alexander Tsatsura had been invited to Salihorsk police department for a conversation with Ilya Lenski, a representative of Minsk regional police department.

“Earlier I sent a complaint to Minsk about actions of some Salihorsk policemen, -- Alexander Tsatsura says, -- they call me very often, demand to come to the police station, and threaten me”.

After the conversation in the police department, the police did not let him go home. They detained him and drew up a report about an administrative violation.

The police claim earlier Alexander Tsatsura called on the local entrepreneurs to hold a picket on September 30th.
