Ivan Shyla from Salihorsk and Uladzimir Ustsinovich from Asveya, Verkhniadzvinsk district were tried in their absence.

Judge Aksana Kushava found both activists guilty of disorderly conduct and participation in an unauthorized action.

As Ivan Shyla is under age, his case was sent for consideration of Svetlahorsk juvenile committee. Mr. Ustsinovich was fined 124 thousand BYR.

Human rights defender Siarhei Housha comments the verdict to Uladzimir Ustsinovich:

“He is unemployed father of three children. He wrote that he didn’t agree with the accusation. He explained that had happened to be near the court building by accident. Still, the judge found him guilty and fined him”.

16 of the 20 activists detained in Baranavichy on September 10th have already been tried. The last trial is to take place on September 28th. Paval Seviarynets, one of the action participants, sentenced to arrest, will be released on September 27th.
