On 8 September the Belarusian Youth Movement of America held an action of support to the activists of an unregistered youth organization Young Front Nasta Azarka, Yaraslau Hryshchenia and Ivan Shyla.
About 20 persons from New-York, Washington, Boston and other cities of the US gathered in front of the UN office. They spent several hours distributing leaflets with information about the latest political repressions against the Belarusian youth.
During the picket Zianon Pazniak’s address concerning the Belarusian Day of Military Glory was read. The picket participants adopted an appeal to the UN Secretary General calling him to influence the situation in Belarus and raise at the UN Security Council the question of its democratization.
