The college board of Mahiliou regional court with a deputy chair of the court Ihar Troshka at the head turned down an appeal of a public activist Krystsina Shatsikava against the verdict of Leninski district court of Mahiliou that had refused to abolish a ruling of the local prosecutor’s office against bringing a criminal case on the use of punitive psychiatry. The College Board did not give any explanations concerning its verdict.
Bear in mind that on 23 March, on the eve of the Freedom Day action people in mufti forcedly took Krystsina Shatsikava to a psychiatric hospital, where she was groundlessly detained for almost three days. Against her will the doctors gave to her injections of anti-psychotic medicines.
On 29 June Leninski district court of Mahiliou found no reasons to abolish a ruling of Leninski district prosecutor’s office of Mahiliou that had refused to bring a criminal case on the use of punitive psychiatry against Shatsikava. According to a human rights activist from Mahiliou Barys Bukhel, Krystsina is going to appeal the last court verdict to a higher court.
