On 7 June the signatures of 1 012 citizens of Belarus for the admission of Belarus to the council of Belarus to the Council of Europe were passed to the headquarters of the Council of Europe.
According an initiator of the campaign Ihar Rynkevich, all in all 4 000 signatures have been already passed to Strasbourg. The campaign was started in February 2007 and was supported by about 80 public figures of Belarus.
