Today the labor and social defense minister Uladzimir Patupchyk has commented on the intentions of donors to start a strike against repeal of benefits. The minister confessed that the donors will lose a part of their privileges.

In his commentary to BelaPAN Mr. Patupchyk stated that many misunderstandings among the donors could be caused by lack of knowledge of their rights. An initiator of the strike of Mahiliou donors Ihar Kavalenka thusly commented on the minister’s remarks:

‘It is very good that such high officials know about the strike. We haven’t started it yet, and we are already spoken about. May be they will even take a right decision yet before the action. We know our rights. We could not start striking without studying the law on donorship and other legal acts as well.’

Mr. Kavalenka added, that on 14 June in Minsk there will take place a round table, at which donors and officials will discuss the repeal of benefits.
