On March 27 Savetski court of Homel judge Aksana Kastsiukevich made a decision to review the decision of Administrative commission on the case against Anatol Paplauny, charged with violation of Article 172 part 3 of the Code of Administrative Offences (distribution of printed materials produced with violation of the established procedure, the content of which is aimed at damaging the state and public order, and the rights and legal inetersts of the citizens). The judge referred to the fact that the court needs additional materials for the trial, told Anatol Paplauny to the Human Rights Center “Viasna”.

Let us remind you, that the administrative commission decided to fine Paplauny 5 basic units (about 75 US dollars) for alleged distribution of the unregistered Svaboda newspaper found at Paplauny’s working place.

On January 24 Savetski court of Homel cancelled the decision of the administrative commission because of numerous violations during the hearing and sent the case back for reconsideration. However, this time the administrative commission again failed to correct the mistakes. Besides that, it is still not proved that the content of the newspaper damaged the state or public order
