Navapolatsak Activist Jailed for 2 Days
Today Navapolatsak city court considered an administrative case of civic activist Valer Shauchenka.
Shauchenka was detained at 11 p.m. of March 24 near the doors of his apartment building. The police accused him of violation of the public order and using curse language.
The court listened to police witnesses and ruled to arrest Valer Shauchenka fo 2 days. Becaue the civic activist was kept in pre-trial detention center, he will be released today at 11 p.m., reports RFE/RL.
