The activist of Belarusian People’s Front Valiantsina Sviatskaia’s claim to former minister for internal affairs Iury Sivakou was rejected. It was caused by Iury Sivakou’s article About Honor published in Spetsnaz magazine in July 2006. The General quoted a large paragraph from the Code of Officer’s Honor written by Adolf Hitler on 9August 1941.The BPF activist was indignant with the quotations and Sivakou’s preamble to them: ”I think that the Code of Officer’s Honor written by Adolf Hitler may be of interest. Despite of the unambiguity of this personality some of his statements may be well thought over. Now I’ll quote some of them…”

Ms Sviatskaia considered that the publication offended her as a Belarusian citizen. The activist claimed rebating of her moral damage by making the defendant pay her 60 million rubles. ‘Frunzenski borough court of Minsk made a strange decision: my claim was refused for the reason that the article was of a disputable and publicity character. That was the only information I was given by the court,’ V.Svyatskaya said.

According to her, the motivating pat of the court decision will be submitted to her only 22 March. This part is required for appealing the decision in the court of a higher instance.
