Aliaksandr Kazulin’s daughter Iuliia has been told about that by a deputy director of the penal colony Vitsba-3 Ruslan Prymak. ‘My Father is liberated from work for another month. A special food for diabetics is prescribed to him. However, he takes part in all the colony’s events,’ Iuliia Kazulina said to RFE/RL.

In the end of 2006 the former presidential candidate Aliaksandr Kazulin continued a hunger strike for 53 days. He lost more than 20 kilograms of weight. The political prisoner is sentenced to 5.5 years of imprisonment in a colony for staging a mass protest rally against rigged election results in March 2006.
