Lidia Mikhailava, Ivan Mikhailau, and Alexander Laurynovich were detained yesterday in K. Marx Street in Minsk. They were kept in Leninski police station from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. The youth activists had stickers “Jeans—for freedom”. The police officers seized the stickers and drew up a report. The young people were charged with spoiling the exterior look of the city.

The police officer on duty Andrei A. Yurkovich ordered to take their fingerprints and make a video of them. The activists face a fine. The case is to be considered by the municipal commission for administrative offences.

The activists plan to address the prosecutor’s office with a complaint about the actions of the policemen. It is illegal to keep people in the police station for 6 hours.
