Dashkevich’s Cassation Complaint to Be Considered on December 15

Dashkevich’s lawyer Alexander Haliyeu told the Human Rights Center "Viasna", the court will consider his cassation complaint at 10 a.m. on December 15. Minsk city court Board for Criminal Cases will consider the complaint. In case the complaint is not satisfied the verdict will come into effect, and Dashkevich will be sent to jail.

He is still kept in pre-trial detention center in Valadarskaha Street. Yesterday he was visited by his lawyer.

Zmitser Dashkevich was sentenced to 1,5 years of minimum security prison. He was found guilty of “activity on behalf of unregistered organization” (Article 193 of the Criminal Code).
