Brest: Social Democrats Appeal Ruling of Regional Election Commission

According to the Charter’97 press-service

Brest Regional Election Commission left in force the decision of Brest City Election Commission that refused to register the initiative groups of Sviatlana Alesiuk, Ihar Ieraminak and Sviatlana Lukashevich. Then the initiative groups of these three members of Brest city branch of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) appealed this ruling to Brest Regional Election Commission. Now they apply to Brest Regional Court, which is the last instance in this case.

‘We have a spare variant in the case the regional court will deprive us of registration – to nominate our activists from Brest city committee of BSDP (Hramada),’ commented Ihar Maslouski, the chair of Brest regional branch of the party.
