BSDP (Hramada) Activist Loses Job

Maksim Kastsevich, member of Minsk city board of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada), has worked in Euraopt Company for 2 years. He was responsible for merchandising and advertising. During the 2 years of his work he never had any remarks from the company management.

However, recently he was invited to Ivan Haiko – the company CEO. He told Maksim that the company was not satisfied with his work. During the conversation it turned out that the company is not happy with the Maksim’s decision to run at the local elections. “We fly different directions from now on”, -- Ivan Haiko told Maksim in the end of the conversation.

The company management, including vice-CEO, commercial director and chief of Maksim’s department, were surprised to learn that Maksim was fired on November 15.

On October 26 the Hramada press group reported about dismissal of young engineer Ihar Barysau from Mahiliouliftmash Company. His friend Maksim Kastsevich became the next young activist who was fired.

The number of dismissals will only grow when we get closer to the election.
