Supreme Economic Court Doesn’t Satisfy Suit of Arche Magazine

On 19 September the Ministry of Information ruled to suspend the issue of the Arche magazine for three months. According to the ministry, having published articles of political nature the magazine changed the range of elucidated topics without presenting any information about it to the ministry. The editorial board of the magazine applied to court with the request to reverse this ruling. In its suit the plaintiffs referred to the law On press, according to which during registration editions are to give approximate, not precise description of the range of elucidated topics. However, on 8 November the judge M.Madudzin read the verdict, according to which the suit was not satisfied. As far as the motivational part of the verdict wasn’t read the official explanation for such decision is still not known to the editorial board.
