On 4 October the police searched Zhodzina flat of Pavel Krasouski, an activist of the unregistered organization Young Front. As a result the system block of his computer, CDs and printed production were confiscated. Then the police drove him to Vitsebsk. There they advised him to get a hotel at his own expense. In the morning they called an investigator.

The whole day of 5 October Mr Krasouski was interrogated as a witness in the case of the explosions that took place in Vitsebsk on 12 and 22 September 2005. The interrogation ended with the issue of suspicion in his relation to preparation of the crime that was aimed at murder in especially dangerous way. Now Pavel Krasouski is considered to be officially detained as a suspect. The investigators believe that he resembles the description of the criminal that was given by witnesses. During the presidential electoral campaign the Committee of struggle against terrorism has already brought such case against the activist, but stopped it a month ago. Mr Krasouski denies any relation to these events. Similar cases were brought against several Young Front activists and were stopped as well. As HRC Viasna found out, Mr Krasouski will be taken to a pre-trial isolator.
