Several months ago new leadership was appointed at the plant and started the campaign to destroy independent trade union. In words of Ryhor Spasiuk, leader of the trade union organization, the people are forced to leave the organization. The branch manpower decreased radically for the last months.
He also told that heads of units at the plant intimidate the members and threaten them not to prolong contracts, deprive them of bonuses and additional payments to salaries and blackmail relatives of activists. At the same time the members of official trade union branch are encouraged financially. It became known that the administration intends to take the office from independent trade union branch. Spasiuk sent the letter to prosecutors office concerning the existing situation but still hasnt received reply. We may go on hunger strike if no positive steps will be taken by administration.
