Three activists detained during the day of solidarity in Brest.

On May 16 evening fifteen people gathered near cinema “Belarus” in Brest and gave the passers-by blue balloons with the date 16 and word Freedom on them.
After an hour and a half the policemen came and detained three activists saying that they look similar to some unknown criminal. After that the detained spent 30 minutes in one of the cinema cabinets and then taken to Leninski borough police department of Brest.
During the search the policemen got interested in the leaflets with the word freedom they found at the activists. A report of confiscating the leaflets, balloons, paints was drawn up. The activists were then released.
Despite all that the actions late in the evening took place. About forty young people marched along one of the streets in Brest, Radio Svaboda reports.
