According to the press-service of the Assembly of NGOs

Vadzim Bohdan was detained near his house by unknown persons in plain clothes. The police didn’t inform anybody about the arrest and tried to conceal this fact. Only several days later Vadzim’s relatives found he was in jail. When Vadzim’s mother brought a parcel to him, she was informed he was sentenced to 15 days of jail for ‘hooliganism’. Vice-chair of Svetlahorsk district board of internal affairs Piatro Zykun said she could ask about the details the judge of Svetlahorsk District Court Iryna Aliseika, who issued the sentence. By the way, during the prison term Vadzim Bohdan turned 24. He is one of the local youth leaders and a member of the national council of the Belarusian Language Society. The period of his imprisonment coincides with the days when people actively expressed their striving for freedom.
