According to RFE/RL

This time the public activist is suspected in knavery. Aksana thinks the criminal case is a peculiar answer to the request to punish the host of the TV program “Political technologies” Iauhen Novikau. Before this Aksana Novikava was twice judged for defamation of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

The human rights activist Aksana Novikava has to come to the investigator of Dziarzhynsk Town Procurator’s Office Vasil Halitski for interrogations. The matter is that in 2005 someone received a new passport with Novikava’s photo. The surname in the passport was the surname of one of Novikava’s friend who lived abroad. Aksana Novikava gave explanations to the investigator and wasn’t summonsed again. He thought the case was stopped.

A month ago she submitted an application to Minsk City Procurator’s Office, accusing the TV host Iauhen Novikau in propaganda of war.

-- Now this application is at KGB. I think the renewal of the criminal case against me is the result of my application to the procurator’s office.

Before this, Aksana Novikava was twice judged for defamation of Aliaksandr Lukashenka. The reason was that she handed out fly-sheets in which Lukashenka and other high-level state officials were accused in felonies.

The first time, in 2003, she was punished with conditional imprisonment. The second time, in 2004 - with personal restraint, but the verdict still hasn’t come into force. Besides, Aksana Novikava, mother of two small children, was several times fined for unauthorized pickets. The total sum of these fines is 12 750 000 rubles, about $6 000.
