On 8 February in the village of Sirod (Kalinkavichy district) the police detained the liquidator of the consequences of Chernobyl tragedy Vasil siliverst for removing Lukashenka’s CV from the news stand of library of the local culture palace.

At first Mr. Siliverst informed a worker of the culture palace that it was prohibited to agitate for pretenders to the presidential position before their official registration and advised to remove the biographical information of Aliaksandr Lukashenka from the stand. She refused to do it. Then he did it on his own. The worker called to the police. Mr. Siliverst was detained. He stated they kept him outdoors for more than five hours. Some of this time he had to lie on the snow, as a criminal, as a result of which he received a chilblain. Then he was driven to Kalinkavichy District Board of Internal Affairs and from there - to the cardiology department of the local hospital, where he is still kept, feeling rather bad.
