On December 22 the police detained Uladzimier Lievanieuski, the political prisoner Valiery Lievanieuski’s son. The guy was taken to the Kastrychnitski Borough Department of Police in Hrodna, where they drew up two reports, registering the bulletin Businessman then on the man. Then Uladzimier was released.
The young Lievanieuski told Radio Liberty that he had been detained in Tsentralny market at about 2 p.m., the police officers that do their service in the market know him well and repeatedly detained him earlier. That time he was not distributing the bulletin Businessman, and simply had a pack of this bulletin on him: "It contained information of sorts: legal acts regarding the conduct of business, the business news, and news about my father, including the fact that he was not allowed to visit the funeral service for his father, our grandfather".
The police confiscated about 250 copies of the bulletin from Mr. Lievanieuski, saying that they will examine the Businessman to find out whether or not it has been printed in violation of the legislation. The police made a report registering the confiscation of the bulletin, then another one by terms of the third part of Article 172 of the Administrative Code, which concerns the distribution of the printed materials that do not feature issue data printed on them. Though the data was there all right, said Uladzimier Lievanieuski.
