Journalist Appeals against Ruling by Administrative Committee in Court

On 24 October Leninski District Court of Hrodna considered the complaint filed by the activist of the Union of Poles, a journalist Andrei Pachobut against the ruling taken by the administrative committee of Leninski Borough.The committee awarded the journalist a fine of one basic unit for destroying grass during an unauthorized picket in defense of the Glos znad Niemna, which took place on 6 July in Lenin Square in Hrodna.
According to Radio Liberty, the court noted some violations in the minutes recorded by the administrative commission but upheld the ruling regarding Mr. Pachobut.
