According to RFE/RL

Alies Kamliuk, one of the architects of the monument to Frantsysk Skaryna (the pioneer of printing in Belarus) states his copyright is violated. The reason is that nobody asked for his agreement to installation of the monument in front of the new building of the National Library, situated at the outskirts of Minsk. To Kamliuk’s mind, the best place the monument could be installed is near the National Academy of Sciences that is not far from the city center.

Alies Kamliuk states that Alies Draniets and he are co-authors of the monument. Alies Draniets didn’t comment on Kamliuk’s statement and only said that five years ago the latter agreed to installation of the monument near the National Library.

RFE/RL also found out that now the official authors of the monument are Viktar Kramarenka and Mikhail Vinahradau, whereas Alies Kamliuk is not mentioned as an author at all.
