Pinsk Regional Printing House Again Refuses to Print Miastsovy Chas
According to Belarusian Association of Journalists
For more than a year Miastsovy Chas newspaper is printed in Baranavichy instead of Pinsk, where its editorial office is situated. It demands from the newspaper additional expenses. Besides, a part of information becomes old when the newspaper is delivered to its readers.
According to the chief editor of Miastsovy Chas Viktar Yarashuk, the director of Pinsk regional printing house A. Prakopaw says the printing house is overloaded. However, the monitoring service of Belarusian Association of Journalists knows that this very printing house has new equipment that allows printing of about a dozen of newspapers per day, whereas only eight regional editions are published weekly.
Besides, Pinsk branch of the state distribution net “Belsayuzdruk” refuses to sell the newspaper through its newsstands. The head of the branch Nina Navumchuk also states everything is overloaded with periodicals and there’s no place for Miastsovy Chas, whereas Viktar Yarashuk is sure this is the revenge of the authorities for trenchant articles.
