LAD TV Channel refused to air the speech of parliamentary candidate, BPF leader Vincuk Viachorka at the day it was recorded, reports BPF Party press-service. The refusal contradicts the “instructions” every candidate was given by district election commissions. Clause 2 of the “instructions” states candidates’ speeches are to be recorded at the day of broadcasting. Meanwhile, the press-service of the Belarusian Association of Journalists found out that nobody had signed the instructions.
Candidates addressed the Central Election Commission for explanations. CEC told them that the day and time of broadcasting is determined by a TV company. CEC representatives also said CEC had not issued any “instructions”. Management of the National State TV and Radio Company also do not claim responsibility for “incorrect” instruction of candidates.
CEC member without the right to vote Ales Bialatski is going to file an official inquiry to the leadership of the Central Election Commission, reports BAJ press-service.
