The prosecutor refused to charge Savetski borogh police board deputy head Colonel Yawhen Hurankow, who had beaten Anton Kishkurna, fracturing his arm.

We reported earlier, on May 26 Colonel Hurankow and two of his subordinates dragged Anton Kishkurna out of the car and beat him up severely. The hospital staff registered an arm fracture. When in hospital Anton underwent a surgery and spent about a month in plaster. Antol addressed the prosecutor’s office, requesting to bring charges against the policemen. Simultaneously, the policemen accused Anton of disobedience to police. The court found him guilty at imposed a fine.
It was expected that the prosecutor’s office would investigate into the case and bring criminal charges against Hurankow, charging him of abusing his duties. A forensic medical expert ended the case – in his conclusion he wrote Anton had fractured the arm 7 months ago! Such an opinion might be the result of the last changes in the system, when last year forensic examination expert board became subordinate to the prosecutor’s office.
RFE/RL reports, Anton Kishkurna plans to file a complaint to the city prosecutor’s office. He still hopes, the guilty won’t be able to get away
