Dear Aksana,
With this letter we express our solidarity and support to You.
This was the trial not over you, but the right of every citizen of Belarus to know the truth about the situation in the country, to discuss the urgent problems. The regime uses this trial to shut the mouths of the dissidents and truth-searches. We are proud to see you fight the repressive machine with honor and dignity, which, unfortunately, defends the “honor and dignity” of only one person in the Republic of Belarus.
The shameful sentence, passed on You, again stressed the meanness and immorality of the authorities, and their agony. Because fighting the word, fighting You – young woman, fighting Your little daughter testifies that the regime is not strong, but weak. People, who aspire to the better life with all their hearts, are worth it. The way You are doing it, dear Aksana.
Your example sets light to people’s hearts, arouses hope and faith in a better life for all Belarusians. We are sure that sooner or later the authorities will have to give clear answers to the questions, raised by such brave people as You are. Top state officials, who are directly accused of murder, larceny, seizure of power, will have to resign and bear the responsibility not only for the crimes they have committed, but also for persecution of innocent people. Belarus will be free, democratic and wealthy country. You are contributing to that with Your sufferings, and Your struggle.
