02.09.2013 Belarus: Zmitser Dashkevich released, while 11 other political prisoners remain detained
FIDH and its member organisation in Belarus, the Human Rights Center (Viasna), welcome the 28 August release of Zmitser Dashkevich, leader of the civil and political organisation Young Front, after his having completed his full prison term for charges of “malicious hooliganism” and “repeated failure to obey prison authorities”.
02.09.2013 Babruisk: photo art under supervision of ideologists
On 8 September a photo exhibition is planned in the city park of Babruisk. This is an event for the photo amateurs who attach their works to ropes with clothes-pegs, and other photographers or passers-by can take the photos they like. Such exhibitions are held in many Russian and Belarusian cities. There are no limitations, the only demand of the author of these exhibitions Andrei Kezin is to restrict the view of photo erotics for children.

The judge of the Brest Regional Court Natallia Surma didn't grant the cassation appeal of the social activist Viktar Syrytsa agaisnt the ruling of the Baranavichy City and District Court on the case of the Milavidy festival.

Minsk City Court dismissed the cassation appeal of the human rights activist Uladzimir Labkovich against the fine of 3 million rubles, imposed on him by the Savetski District Court of Minsk. his conviction by a court of the Soviet district of Minsk 3,000,000 rubles fine.

02.09.2013 Newspaper “Shakhtsior” ignores the appeal of Viktar Malochka
On 22 July the Salihorsk member of the United Civil Party Viktar Malochka filed to the editorial office of the “Shakhtsior” newspaper an appeal in which he asked it to publish information about daily issues in the city. However, he hasn't received any answer. No articles have been published either.
02.09.2013 Hrodna human rights defenders appeal verdict of Hrodna City Executive Committee
Hrodna public activists Uladzimir Khilmanovich, Viktar Sazonau and Raman Yurhel applied to the Leninski District Court against the ruling of the Hrodna City Executive Committee of 1 August, by which they were prohibited to hold an informational picket in support of Ales Bialiatski.
