The Human Rights Center “Viasna”

The oppositional politicians Alexander Bukhvostau, Viktar Harbachou, Leu Marholin and Vintsuk Viachorka have been searched on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border.

Alexander Kamarouski, co-chairman of the organizing committee of the republican public movement Defenders of Fatherland has sued against the state owned newspaper Sovetskaya Belorussiya for protection of honor, dignity and business reputation. The trial will take place on 11 August at Savetski district court of Minsk.

On 31 July, Minsk city court considered a complaint of Uladzimir Kumets, an activist of the civil campaign European Belarus, convicted for ‘Freedom to Autukhovich!’ banner.

The prosecutor’s office is set to demand Mikhail Illin from Brest to provide explanations concerning his activities in the Young Front.
